Tutorial / Workshop

I'd really like to organise a tutorial / workshop for the day before or after the conference. I've posted a few thoughts about it on the google groups forum, and I'd really like to hear your ideas.
Would you rather it take place before or after the conference? What format or topic would you be interested in? Would you be happy to make a donation to charity, or do you want it to be free?
